If you've determined to bypass your Facebook page for a different means to reach your target market, or if you're relocating a new direction with your job, removing that Facebook page is a thankfully pain-free process.
How To Delete My Facebook Page
To delete a Facebook page you've created for your business navigate to that page and do the following:
- Click Settings at the top of the page.
- Scroll down to the really last option under General - Remove page - and also click Edit.
- Click the link to delete your page.
- In the popup window that opens click Delete page.
- You must see a message confirming that your page has actually gone into deletion mode.
There are a few points to bear in mind:
- You have 14 days to change your mind. If you determine you don't wish to delete your page you could restore it by going to the page prior to the two week period finishes as well as clicking Cancel Deletion.
- If you wish to give yourself a break from running a Facebook page yet do not intend to delete it completely, you could unpublish it so just admins can see it. You will also not shed your followers if you do this.
The best ways to unpublish your page without erasing it
If you typically aren't particular whether you wish to completely remove your page, you can "unpublish" it (make it exclusive so only page admins can see it).
Below's just how:
Log in to the Facebook page you provide.
Click "Settings" in the top righthand corner of your screen.
Discover the "page Visibility" setup (it's the second one), and click the pencil symbol to modify.
Click the "Unpublish page" radio button then click "Save Changes".
