Approach 1: Making a Single Picture Private on Facebook
1. Open up Facebook. Most likely to https://www.facebook.com/ in your internet browser. This will certainly open your News Feed if you're logged into Facebook.
- If you typically aren't logged into Facebook, enter your email address and password to do so.
2. Go to your account. Click your name in the top-right side of the Facebook web page.
3. Click the Photos tab. You'll locate this below the cover picture that's at the top of your Facebook web page.
4. Select a picture category. Click a category tab (e.g., Your Images) near the top of the web page.
5. Select an image. Click a picture that you intend to make private. This will open up the picture.
- The picture must be one that you submitted, not just one of you that somebody else submitted.
6. Click the "Privacy" symbol. This icon generally looks like a silhouette of an individual (or more people) that you'll discover listed below and to the right of your name in the upper-right side of the picture. A drop-down menu will appear.
- If clicking this icon leads to a menu that claims Edit Post Privacy, click Edit Post Privacy to go to the post, then click the privacy symbol at the top of the post prior to continuing.
7. Click More ... It remains in the drop-down menu.
8. Click Only Me. This option is in the broadened drop-down menu. Doing so will right away change your photo's privacy to make sure that only you could see it.
Technique 2: Making an Album Private on Facebook
1. Click your name in the Facebook screen's top best corner to open your profile.
2. Click the "Photos" connect to open the Photos and Videos web page.
3. Click an album to open it.
4. Hover your mouse arrow over the icon to the right of the album's name. Text appears stating the album's current privacy setting. For instance, the album might have a globe icon and the setup "Public".
5. Click the icon to open a drop-down menu.
6. Click "Only Me" to hide the album.
Idea: When the correct time comes, open each picture in the concealed album. Click the "Share Picture" switch in the lower appropriate edge of the image and also choose "On Your Web page" from the drop-down menu that appears at the top of the sharing home window.
